We Can Do Better

The Legislature has only been in session for a month, but they're already getting off track. There's talk of rent control, new taxes, and burdensome regulations. These are misguided attempts to fix the true problems we have in our state. Not enough people have working-class jobs, and not enough students graduate high school.

The reason our representatives have confused priorities is because too few of them really understand true leadership. They think representing their own special interests is what they're supposed to do. It doesn't matter if it's big business or big labor.

Oregon Reagan PAC is committed to seeking out true statesmen that will put good policy above good politics. We're seeking the kind of statesmen that Ronald Reagan knew we had to be to preserve our great country.

"The challenge of statesmanship is to have the vision to dream of a better, safer world and the courage, persistence, and patience to turn that dream into reality."

Please join me in supporting our cause to bring real leadership to Oregon. Only then, can we truly begin to solve the problems facing our great state.

Remembering Reagan's Legacy

On this day in 1911, Ronald Wilson Reagan was born to Nelle and John Edward (Jack) Reagan in Tampico, Illinois. From humble beginnings, Reagan went on to have an amazing impact on America.

When I reflect on the legacy of Ronald Reagan, I think of his role as The Great Communicator. Years later, his message of American optimism and the preservation of freedom continues to ring true. Our state and country desperately need his positive perspective in today's negative world.

And let me offer lesson number one about America: All great change in America begins at the dinner table. So, tomorrow night in the kitchen I hope the talking begins. And children, if your parents haven’t been teaching you what it means to be an American, let ‘em know and nail ‘em on it. That would be a very American thing to do.
— President Reagan's Farewell Speech, Jan. 11, 1989

Taking to heart this quote is the first step to preserving liberty and our Constitution for future generations. Thank you for standing with us as we seek to guide this country back to our founding principles.

Informed Patriotism

On February 1st, the Oregon Legislature will begin their 160-day regular session. In order to begin making Oregon more prosperous and more free, we must be vigilant. It was Ronald Reagan that said, "An informed patriotism is what we want."

Liberals in the legislature have already prepared over 25 tax increases and Kate Brown wants to regulate and fine anyone who uses paddleboards and inner tubes on Oregon rivers and streams.

Unfortunately, there will be many more headlines like these in the weeks and months ahead. We ask that you join us in our commitment to preserve the ideals of limited government and liberty for all Oregonians.

Help Us Renew the Revolution

Conservatives have much to celebrate. After eight long years, we have a Republican administration in the White House and a Republican Congress led by Reagan Conservatives like Speaker Paul Ryan and Senator Marco Rubio.

Here in Oregon, Dennis Richardson became the first statewide Republican elected in 14 years, becoming Secretary of State. We also won a senate seat in Southern Oregon which broke the liberal supermajority.

There is still much work to do. Kate Brown, Tina Kotek, and the liberal Democrats in Salem want to raise taxes, cut services to veterans and seniors, and chip away at your rights. And the last time Oregon went red was in 1984.

33 years later, we believe we can make Oregon a better state by honoring the principles he fought for. Supporting small business, growing the economy for everyone, and giving our children opportunities to succeed through education. This is what Ronald Reagan did when he was President and with your help, we can do it in Oregon.

We need to start right now if we're going to break up the single party liberal control that has led to bigger and more expensive government.

Weask for your support in our mission to bring prosperity back to our great state.
